Raw July 19th, 2004
Raw started off with Triple H coming down to the ring, saying that Eugene would never make it as a WWE Superstar. He continued to say that everyone in the WWE was ashamed of Eugene, everyone including his own Mother. Triple H told the fans that he did them all a favor last Monday Night. Triple H went on about how the WWE would be a better place without Eugene around. That's when Eugene's Unlce Eric made his way to the ring. He told Triple H he was right and that he deserved something for what he did for the WWE. He gave Triple H a 60-minute Iron Man Match against Chris Benoit for the WWE Championship, next Monday Night (July 26th). And since he has such a big match coming up in seven days, he gave Triple H the night off. That's when William Regal made his presence known. He walked out to the ring and he looked at the camera as he climbed the stairs to the ring and told Eugene that what he was about to do was for him [Eugene]. He stripped off his coat and began to exchange blows with Triple H.
Coming back from commercial it was Sylvain Grenier against the Japanese Buzzsaw, Tajiri. Sylvain was accompanied to the ring by tag team partner Rob Conway and Tajiri was accompanied by Rhyno. The match carried on until Rob Conway interferred at the end of the match giving Sylvain Grenier the win.
Y2J's Highlight Reel was next on the agenda. Tonight he didnt have just one guest he had TEN. He had all ten finalists of the Raw Diva search join him in the ring. All ten women sauntered their way down to the ring. They all introduced themselves and where they were from. Jericho told them that he had a mission for them, the girls got excited. He told them that their was an "Envelope of Immunity" hidden somewhere in Eric Bischoff's office. Jericho told them the first one to find it could not be eliminated after tonights poll. The girls followed Jericho to Bischoff's office and they completely destroyed it looking for this envelope. Jericho instructed them on where it might be. Jericho soon left the scene and Bischoff walked in on the ten girls completely trashing his office. He yelled at the 10 girls, belittled them, told them there was no such envelope and that HE ran Raw not Chris Jericho and sent them on their way.
The next match was Tyson Tomko vs. The Hurricane. Tyson and Trish made their way out to the ring, Trish still sporting a cast on her arm. The Hurricane soon came out to his music and stopped at the top of the rope and looked behind him, and waited. As we the audience think he's waiting for his Super Hero In Training, Rosey, "Legs" started playing and The Hurricane was joined by none other than Stacy Keibler. The two ran down to the ring, Stacy becoming more of a distraction for Tomko than for the Hurricane, distracting him on several occasions, much to the Hurricane's advantage. Tomko ends up winning the match. Trish goes over to Stacy, hits her in the stomach with her cast and rolls her in the ring to Tyson, who sets her up to be slammed on to the mat. When Superhero Rosey comes down and saves Stacy from Tomko. We all see that Rosey is no longer a Super Hero In Training, he's now a Superhero.
Backstage we see Ric Flair talking to Batista about his match. The two are walking when Triple H confronts them and wants to talk to Batista about his match against Chris Benoit.
Back from commercial it's Chris Benoit against Batista (with Ric Flair). The two start off battling back and forth between them. Batista takes control outside of the ring. Batista gives Chris a spinebuster and gives him right hands. Rather than even attempt a cover, Batista simply continued to assault Benoit with illegal chokes and skull-crushing kicks. Batista repeatedly defied the referee’s orders while Benoit was tangled in the ring ropes, eventually leaving the official no choice but to call for a disqualification. The attack continued after the bell, and ended with a fierce Batista Bomb. Unable to walk on his own, Benoit had to be helped from ringside.
Backstage we see Lita walking down the corridor, she's walking with a purpose. She spots who she's looking for and confronts Matt Hardy. The two begin to talk, and Lita tells Matt that she's having this baby with or without him. Matt is a little taken aback and Lita leaves him and walks back to her locker room.
Next is Todd Grisham interviewing Randy Orton. Randy tells Todd that Edge winning the IC Championship was just a fluke, just like his first reign that only lasted a day. Randy shuts up when Edge appears and begins to tell Randy off. He says he's not going to be some statistic on RKO's shirt. Randy smirked as Edge verbally assaulted him saying that Randy had a self-esteem issue, and contined by making fun of his father Bob "Cowboy" Orton Jr. saying he was nothing but Rody Rodney Piper's Bitch. As Edge walked away Randy told Todd that after tonight, Edge was going to be his bitch.
The next match was a rematch from last week. It was Chris Jericho versus Kane. Jericho attacks Kane as soon as Kane gets in to the ring. Kane rolled away from a lionsault. Jericho appeared to have earned a count-out victory early on, but a resentful RAW General Manager had a different idea. Eric Bischoff was more than pissed off after a Jericho prank led to the 10 Diva hopefuls trashing Bischoff’s office. So, he seized the opportunity to get back at Y2J by ordering the match against Kane to continue, under one stipulation, falls count anywhere. Soon the two man fought it out in to the crowd in D.C. The two men used everything they could get their hands on to win the match. Jericho used a $100,000(+) camera to knock Kane down with. The match was soon interrupted by Batista coming out and giving Jericho a whirlwind Clothesline, knocking Jericho down and out for the match, letting Kane score the 1-2-3.
Lillian introduces the troops taht are stationed in D.C. (U.S. Armed Forces). Coach tells the viewers how they can vote for their favorite Raw Diva finalist. The voting started after Raw was over and would continue until midnight. He then introduced the girls back out to the audience, this time in their bikinis. Smack!Down Rebound was next, followed by a SummerSlam promo. (Summer Slam is going to be a PPV for both branches.)
The last match of the night, and most anticipated. Randy Orton against Edge for the Intercontinental Championship. The Legend Killer hoped to reduce the five-time Intercontinental Champion to another T-shirt statistic. The match started out with the two SuperStars scouting each other's every move, and even doing the same moves at the same exact time. These two had done their homework, they knew every move the other was going to make. Edge was making it apparant that he wanted to show the young SuperStar a few things. Edge worked Randy's left arm.shoulder. Randy soon countered by giving Edge a modified neck breaker. Edge rolls out of the ring, Randy gives Edge a back breaker on the security walls surrounding the ring. Edge falls on to the concrete and Randy rolls back in to the ring to stop the referee from counting him out. (Goes to Commercial) After the commercial Randy has the upperhand but Edge fights back, but Randy stops this and takes advantage and gets a 2 Count. Randy puts Edge in a sleeperould- Edge fights out of it as the Crowd pops loudly for him, chanting his name. Both men go for a crossbody at the same time, knocking them both to the mat. The ref begins a count-out, both men get up to their feet and start beathing each other to the bone. Edge gets the upper hand and gives Randy a Russian Leg Sweep, the cover and a 2 Count. Edge is now bleeding from the mouth, and Orton may be bleeding as well. Orton goes up top, but Edge dodges the cross body. Edge slams Randy on the rop rope, and spears him in the lower back. Randy flies from teh apron to the security wall. Randy gets back in the ring and Edge delivers a dropkick, he gets the cover, but RKO kicks out on 2. Edge prepairs to give Randy a spear, but RKO dodges it, then Edge gives him an Edgecution, but only gets a 2 Count. Edge climbs up top again, Randy is up, Edge takes out the ref with a cross body. Randy gives Edge a Ric tatic and goes for a steal chair. He brings the chair into the ring and goes to hit Edge with it, but instead Edge spears him, but the ref is still down. Edge is trying to get the ref to get back up. Randy seemed only a three-count away after a low blow and an RKO. The groggy referee was slow to make the count, and Edge mustered enough energy to kick out. Edge delivers RKO yet another spear, making 2 in this match, and goes for the cover, but he only gets a 2 Count. Edge can't believe it, Randy went to his finisher again, but Edge reversed it into a winning, and illegal pin. Taking a page from the Evolution Playbook, Edge beat Randy Orton for the second straight time with a backslide and a little leverage from the second rope. Edge leaves the ring all too happy, as Randy can't believe what just happened and is seriously pissed off.
So what will this have in store for Next Monday night... hope you stay tuned to SPIKE TV and watch what's going to happen next....

| Smack!Down July 15th, 2004
(My computer is going through its own little personal times and is being very very stupid. I had a complete report on Smack!Down last Thursday and my computer some how disposed of it. This stupid thing. So I'm going to post up from WWE.com. I will have a full recap of Monday's Raw up shortly after this. Thank you. )
ANGLE'S A FRAUD July 15, 2004
WWE Champion JBL retained his title in a Steel Cage Match Thursday night, but the bigger story was who gave him a crucial assist: SmackDown! General Manager Kurt Angle.
Angle, who earlier in the evening said he’d likely be wheelchair-bound for life, made a shocking and all-too-physical appearance during the match between former champion Eddie Guerrero and JBL. As the masked El Gran Luchadore, Angle scaled the 15-foot-high cage, grabbing Guerrero and holding him long enough for JBL to escape for the victory. Eddie succeeded in unmasking Angle before he could make his getaway, revealing Angle to be a fraud and trickster with an unnecessary leg cast and wheelchair.
Angle promised that this would be “a night no one will ever forget.” But at the time he seemed to be referring to his plans for John Cena — not the night’s main event in which the WWE Championship was decided in a Steel Cage Match for the first-ever time on SmackDown!
Before donning the garb and mask of a Mexican champion, Angle made a big-time match for next week: John Cena vs. an infuriated Luther Reigns. Angle also placed Cena in another unfair situation — an Elimination Handicap Match against Rene Dupree, Booker T and Kenzo Suzuki. Cena managed to eliminate two of his opponents, but Booker T finished him off after getting a little help from Luther Reigns. With the big win, is Booker T first in line for the vacant United States Championship?
Earlier, Spike Dudley got some unsolicited help from the Dudleys during a tag-team match. The Dudleys seemed quite pleased until D-Von lost to Paul London one-on-one. With the rollup victory, London stated his case that winning the WWE Tag Team Championship with Billy Kidman wasn’t a fluke, after all.
Lastly, John Heidenreich revealed that he’s now aligned with the dastardly Paul Heyman. Only time will tell what influence Heyman will have on the young WWE Superstar.
Match Results:
Spike Dudley and Rey Mysterio defeat Chavo Guerrero and Jamie Noble
Booker T (eliminated Kenzo Suzuki & Rene Dupree) def. John Cena (Three-on-one Handicap Elimination Match)
Paul London (with Billy Kidman) def. D-Von Dudley (with Bubba Ray Dudley)
WWE Champion JBL def. Eddie Guerrero (Steel Cage Match)
